Members

The next Members’ Day will be in July 2010. It is likely to have a similar pattern to previous events. Representatives of Institutions in membership as well as individual members are invited to take part. It is possible for individual members to attend conferences for sixth form students. They simply need to contact TEAM for a ticket.

The schedule of meetings of the Executive Committee is included below for the benefit of members.

Executive Committee Meetings

Membership

TEAM has two categories of membership: Donating Members and Institutional Members.

Donating Members are individuals who, while not being serving teachers/lecturers, choose to belong to TEAM because they support its aims and activities. They have a vote at the Annual General Meeting which elects the Officers and Executive Committee of TEAM.

They are entitled to attend conferences arranged by TEAM and to take part in Study Tours like the European Study Tour which are funded by TEAM. They are entitled to apply for tickets to the Annual tea party at the House of Lords and to members’ events and seminars.

Institutional Members are Universities, Schools and Colleges who choose to belong to TEAM because they support its aims and activities. They are entitled to send a named representative to the Annual General Meeting, and have one vote.

They are entitled to request TEAM to arrange a sixth form conference for them (to date no request has ever been refused) or to use TEAM’s Speaker Service.

They are entitled to send an eligible member of staff to take part in a Study Tour like the European Study Tour or USA Study Tour. Staff from these institutions will be entitled to apply for bursaries to take part in study tours. They are eligible to send up to two members of staff to members’ events and seminars.

Fees: Donating members make an annual donation and Institutional Members pay an annual subscription of £75. To apply for membership please complete a form and send it with your remittance as indicated.

Apply for membership by completing this form and send it to TEAM at the address provided along with the remittance as indicated.
