AIMS

TEAM is an Educational Foundation which aims to promote understanding of world affairs and of the Institutions of International Co-operation

TEAM provides a forum for discussion of European, Trans-Atlantic and World affairs by students, educators and other interested adults.

TEAM  is non-political and non-sectarian.

HISTORY

TEAM was founded by John Sewell, OBE, in 1958. It has earned the support and goodwill of representatives of universities, think tanks, embassies, the media, NATO, SHAPE, as well as Members of the House of Lords, MPs and MEPs
 

ACTIVITIES

TEAM holds International Seminars for adults, and arranges Sixth Form Conferences (Years 12 & 13) and arranges speakers for schools, colleges and universities, with support from expert and well-known speakers.

TEAM  organises Study Tours to Brussels to visit the Institutions of the European Union, the Council of Europe and NATO and to Washington DC and New York to visit the United Nations, the US Congress, Supreme Court, and State Department. The US tour is designed for teachers of sixth form (Year 12 & 13) students and includes a visit to the US Bureau of Educational  and Cultural Affairs and a Senior High School

TEAM offers its services without charge and,  through generous sponsorship from the Financial Times, is able to provide financial support for teachers, lecturers and students. Some other bodies including the European Parliament, NATO and the UK Embassy of the USA provide financial support for teachers for certain study tours.
