Education about international affairs
TEAM is an Independent Educational Foundation (charity number 306950)
TEAM’s vision is to promote an understanding and discussion of world affairs, which empowers young people to be active global citizens and to aspire to leadership roles within their communities.
Our main activities are:
- arranging conferences for sixth form students (Years 12 & 13) and other students at schools and universities
- organising study tours for school and university teachers
If you are a staff member of a school, college or university department, just contact us, and we will draw up a programme together, if possible, to arrange a conference on a date and topic of your choice – and remember that no charge is made for the speakers or for our services. We simply ask your institution to join TEAM at an annual cost of £75. The speakers at our conferences are from universities, think tanks, NGOs, embassies, campaigning organisations and the media.
We are particularly keen to encourage universities to hold conferences for sixth formers. We have held conferences at Christchurch University Canterbury, Kingston University, London Metropolitan University and Reading University. Six form students benefit greatly from the experience of a conference at a university while universities find that it is a valuable outreach opportunity.
We invite teachers from schools, colleges and universities to participate in our annual study tours to institutions of international co-operation in Europe. We have organised study tours to the USA, and hope to have more US study tours soon as subsidies become available. The focus of these tours is on deepening an understanding of the US Constitution and Government.
We welcome sponsorship and donations from companies and institutions Contact us here. You can sponsor us on-line directly through Ammado; thank you.
